I can’t talk la.. Disember 2, 2006

I have flu, severe sore throat and dizziness. All this complications really make me wanted to lay on bed the whole day. But since I must have proper diet to relieve the symptoms, so I must cook something healthy and drink a lot of fluids. I cook porridge with a chicken balls and lots of vegetables in it.

It is very uncomfortable as each time I want to swallow even a liquid, I can feel a very sharp pain on my throat. At this moment,I can barely speak and I don’t think I can answer my phone. My voice box took one day of today and I’ll hurt myself if I force myself to talk even a single word.

Eventhough I can barely speak, I still type for my Nana Tanjung review to share with you. Until then, please pray for my health.

Nana Tanjung

Nana Tanjung movie is about an old man and a single father, Nana (Pie) who is a mamak in Penang. He has three daughters and he is very protective and does not allow his daughter to have a boyfriend even hanging around with friends. He has firm believe on arrange marriage but he don’t know actually 2 of his daughters were secretly dating and his youngest daughter is not innocent as he thought. In order to convince Nana to allow the daughters to marry their lover, they have secretly arrange their father to marry his old love.

In my opinion, the plot of this movie is almost the same from Razak Mohaideen’s movie. Frankly, this Malay movie is too light for me. There is nothing special from this movie as I can easily aspect or assume what will be happen next. It is quite funny, but not funny enough to make me smiling after walk out the cinema. I just don’t like to see in this movie, the action to give a knuckle (menyekeh) on others head as a common behaviour. Maybe the action is nothing to be bother by Mamak’s but as far as I know among Malays that was rude and disrespectful.

For those who just want a to watch a movie just to fill their leisure time, this movie probably good enough. But, for someone who really want to watch a very good or above average kinda movie, Nana Tanjung probably will your be your last choice. Overall, I rate this movie 4 on the scale of 10.

Aiks?! November 30, 2006

Belum pun sampai 2 jam aku abis paper aku yang terakhir, aku dah pun tercegat kembali didepan pc mengodek internet. Teruk betul. Walhal aku dah 2 hari tak sihat. Semalam time nak pegi exam rase cam nak nangis sebab rasa tak sedap badan. Bangun pagi tadi pulak tekak aku dah bengkak tersengkang membuatkan aku sukar nak menelan walau setitis air.

Tetiba time nak ngadap internet, terus sihat kejap. Konon la sihat…tekak aku sakit lagi ni…baru kejap tadi lunch dan minum teh ais. Yer, teh ais. Dek kerana tak tahan dahaga punya pasal, aku dah tak kira pantang larang dah.

Hari ni, takde ape yg menarik nak diceritakan. Esok aku akan start posting info-info yang aku tertangguh nak share kat sini. Aku dah penah janjikan nak ulas cerita Nana Tanjung kan? Erm dah nak abis tayang dah pun cerita tuh. Tapi takpe, esok aku ulas eh.

Pastuh, aku akan ulas cerita The Red Kebaya. Cerita ni ada a bit contraversial skit. Tapi takpe, aku ulas ikut pandangan dan tafsiran aku sendiri. Aku tak gemar dipengaruhi oleh pendapat orang lain.

I love my life! November 25, 2006

If you read my previous posts, you will realize that my current social life is not that interesting. I don’t have many girlfriends, I never been to any party, I rarely have midnite outing and I don’t even mingling around. All I have here in KL is my boyfriend, my housemate and my younger brother.

It is not because I am an introvert. I just love to spent most of my time with my boyfriend, I love late nite chat with my family, I love munching snacks and gossiping in front of the tv with my housemate, I love to stay up late surfing internet and I loooooooooove to be at home.

Luckily, my housemate is kinda spend her leisure time at home. And i thought I am quite fussy about cleanliness, tidiness and house decoration. But now I found out that she is even more fussy than me and as a result, we have almost the same interest about this stuff. I think the interest we shared so far and the way we compliment each other is going quite well.

One thing that I definitely lose to her is cooking. She is quite talented and everytime she cooks, my tank will never ran out of supply. Most of the time, I’ll cook simple dishes but she cooks kinda family dishes and sometimes macam nak buat open house! No wonder I put on so much weight since we live together, huh!

This is some of the reasons why I stay at home most of my time. Sounds boring right? I still remember, 5-6 years back almost everynight I could stay up late have teh tarik and kueh teow kung foo with friends at stalls nearby. But now, it’s almost impossible to do that again. My mom said, maybe this is the time where I feel at ease when at home more than outside. We change as we grow and become more mature in the way we define ourselves.

I think, at the moment all I enjoy is  having whole day lepaking or travelling with my boyfriend, window shopping or pegi pasar with my housemate (which is she really can’t help herself to shop even small things) and chit chatting with my younger brother when he cames to visit me once in a while. And still.. I loooooove my life.

Apa khabar Tom dan Tanter? November 20, 2006

Sabtu lepas call mak. Tanya ape cerita terbaru si Tom dan Tanter. Mak kata Tanter tak berapa sihat. Tambahan pulak mak dia selalu curi bawak dia keluar dari rumah. Jadi Tanter dah ditukarkan nama kepada Tabby. Ish..macam anak orang plak dibuatnya.

Mak cakap dua-dua ekor dah pandai minum susu botol. Dulu kemain susah siap kena bedung supaya boleh masukkan susu dalam mulut.

Sekarang ni siap berebut-rebut nak minum susu, dan kadang-kadang tak sabar sangat dan tak sempat nak bagi dia dah mula nak pegang botol sendiri. Bukannya ada jari pun boleh pegang kan? Jadi berguling-gulinglah botol tuh atas lantai sambil puting botol masih dimulut.

Kali ni pun nak bagi susu kena sekor-sekor. maknanya, kena bagi sekor, sekor lagi masukkan dalam kotak. Kalo tak nanti yang tengah menunggu ni bising tak sabar-sabar, dan siap dicakar-cakarnya sambil memanjat kita. Nanti baby dua ekor ni nak kena hantar ke klinik buat medical check-up. Manalah tau kot ada penyakit yang terselindung. Cuti Krismas nanti bolehlah aku balik menjenguk depa. Tak sabar nak main-main lagi.

Bangun pagi? November 19, 2006

Sungguh tak ku sangka hari ni aku berjaya bangun awal pagi semata-mata nak melakukan aktiviti yang sihat! Pergi berjoging! Mulanya aku berjanji untuk bangun awal dan kejutkan housemate aku. Last-last dia yg kejutkan aku.

Hampir pukul lapan kami keluar dari rumah dan mula menapak laju-laju umpama mak minah pulang dari pasar. Kami tak tak berjalan jauh pun, cuma sekitar kawasan perumahan yang berhampiran. Sambil-sambil tuh cuci mata tengok umah orang yg lawo-lawo.

Tapi semangat nak menjadi sihat sangat kuat. Ni semua kerana gara-gara aku makan diluar jadual pemakanan yang sihat semalam.

Tambahan pula housemate aku masak soto. Suka masak sedap-sedap aii makin lama makin memboroi la aku kalo dia selalu macam ni. Lebih kurang 1 jam setengah akhirnya pusingan lengkap sampai semula ke kediaman kami. Tepat 9.30pagi. Nasib baik sempat sampai umah sebelum matahari dah panas. Kalo tak, mau hangus tengkuk ngan lengan aku jadiknya.

Spongebob Squarepants pun baru nak start. Best jugak tengok spongebob sambil merasakan otot aku yang terasa berdetik-detik kerana baru sahaja digunakan ke tahap optima.

Erm..kalo tiap minggu la aku rajin camni mesti aku menjadi sangat fit dan boleh makan eskrem lagi..hehhehehe…

Semalam aku dan Jebon November 18, 2006

Semalam bukan main lagi aku hora pergi tengok wayang walhal aku ada paper 25hb ni. Semalam juga bukan main lagi aku menggagahkan diri mendapatkan tiket ganti setelah salah faham tentang slot movie yang aku dah booked.

Hari ni aku nak ulas lah sedikit pasal kedua-dua movie yang aku dah tengok tuh. Movie pertama yg aku tengok tu Casino Royale. Nak dijadikan cerita, aku takde lah excited sangat nak tengok Bond sebab Bond sebelum ni dilakonkan Pierce Brosnan. Aku cukup tak berkenan kat mamat ni sebab lakonan dia yang ala-ala kontrol kewl,talented,suave yet handsome.Euuwww!!!

Aku juga tahu yg Casino Royale bukan dilakonkan oleh Pierce Brosnan tapi Daniel Craig. Craig ni taklah sehensem Brosnan. Dia ni berambut dirty blonde. Blonde? Macam pelik je Bond berambut blonde.

Bila dah tengok cerita ni, aku jadi suka plak si Craig ni. Karakter dia berlawanan dengan karakter Brosnan. Kebanyakannya Bond begitu serius dan tugasannya. Satu lagi perkara pelik, Bond yang ni taklah sangat womanizer! Aku memang suka tengok lakonan yang serius macam Craig ni. Ala-ala Bourne Identity. Serius dan kurang senyum.

Cerita ni juga tak banyak sexy and tantalizing chicks. Yang jadi heroin pun muka skema jer , ada yg seksi pun skit je penampilan dia? Bond pulak yang aku perasan tak bercakap dalam British accents pun. Aiks? But..in some scenes he’s really cute with those baby blue eyes… errmmmm…..

Oleh kerana Casino Royale merupakan cerita sebelum Bond mendapat ‘licence to kill’ dia, maka dalam cerita ni juga takdelah gadget menarik yang digunakan seperti yang digunakan oleh Bond-Bond sebelum ni. Takde gadget bermakna takdelah karakter bernama Q iaitu watak seorang inventor yang banyak mencipta gadget untuk kegunaan Bond. Yang ada cuma si M iaitu wakil agensi beliau M16.

Seperti biasa tak sah kalau Bond tak pakai kereta cantiknya iaitu Aston Martin. Kali ni Bond memakai Aston Martin DBS yang smooth yet stylish(Gambar-cantik tak?). Patutlah Bond senang nak ngorat pompuan, dah dia ada keta cenggini. Tak meleleh-leleh air liuq depa sambil terjerit-jerit “James darling,pick me!Pick me!I’m all yours my dear…”…Haha!!

Lokasi cerita ni juga sangat lah cantik. Kira tempat yang aku idam-idamkan lah iaitu Bahamas, Venice,dan Montenegro (Prague). Selain itu, dalam cerita ini apa yang aku peratikan ialah Bond kerjanya suka curi or at least curi tengok hanpon orang! Hehehe…

Oh ya, aku suka jugak the villain dalam cerita ni iaitu Le Chiffre. Bagi ku dia ni (Mads Mikkelsen), takde lah hensem pun, tapi aku suka tengok features muka dia. Dia begitu kewl jadik orang jahat. Dia ni pelakon terkenal kat Denmark. Nanti aku nak cari filem ape lagi dia berlakon, sebab aku nak tengok watak dia yang lain plak.

Apa-apa pun. Aku rate cerita ni kira 5/10 je lah sebab takde ape yang extra-ordinary sgt. Tak taulah kot orang lain suka. Bagi aku biase-biase je. Kalo nak anda nak tengok tak lah boring sangat, tapi takdelah hebat sangat kalau nak compare dengan Bond sebelum ini. Okay, to all movie goers out there…happy watching!!

Cara study yang sungguh bernas! November 18, 2006

Semalam. Pagi lagi si dia dah call aku.

Dia : Ayang..turun…

Me : Huh..baru bangun ni…la kan Linda dah sms abang malam tadi suh call dulu sebelum bertolak?

Dia : Laa….takpe siap je la..tapi takyah mekap-mekap..

Me : Kita nak pegi mana..nape takyah mekap?

Dia : Siap je lah…abang nak gi ofis jap pastuh kita gi jenjalan,ok?

Me : Ok, 10mins Linda turun.

Dua jam di ofis, aku dan dia mula merayau. Merayau mencari tempat nak bersantai sambil study. Ye kami berdua masih study. Mulanya planning nak melepak di Starbucks, Uptown. Tapi dek kerana Sunway Pyramid lebih dekat dan dah kira on the way, maka teruslah kami ke Sunway. Makan dulu, kat kopitiam. Huh, perut aku dah mula rasa tak selesa tanda aku makan bukan pada masanya.

Then, tengok Starbucks penuh la plak. Leceh betul. Haagen Dazs plak tutup. Last-last dapat table kat kedai pokcik Robbins. Yer, kedai eskrem Baskin Robbins. Makan lagi. Sedap, tapi dah rasa macam kenyang kebuntat la plak. Nasib baik tengah duduk. Kalo berdiri, mahu terlentang aku dek kerana perut dah naik sampai ke dada. Ni lah akibatnya kalo termakan hasutan si dia yang suka mensabotaj pelan pemakanan sihat aku. Cis!!

Tapi kan, walaupun aku sedang mengalami konflik diri tentang perut aku yang dah kenyang kebuntat ni, aku dapat satu pengajaran baru. Iaitu study sambil makan eskrem adalah satu aktiviti yang sangat bernas. Anda memang dapat concentrate. Yes, concentrate makan eskrem sambil buku anda masih lagi tertutup. Maka, lihatlah wajah seorang insan yang dah kenyang kebuntat, pipi dah naik seinci dan buku belum bukak lagi. Teeheheheee……

Have you bonded yourself yet? Ape punya soklan lah ni? Saje je trick. Yang sebenarnya aku nak tanya, adakah anda sudah menonton Bond 007 Casino Royale? Kenapa aku tetiba tanya? Sebab aku saja ngengade nak tanya?Boleh macam tu?

Yang sebenarnya, si dia telah menganugerahkan aku sehari menghorakan diri bersamanya tanpa memikirkan urusan kerja. Wah, bestnya amik cuti semata-mata nak spend time ngan aku…teehehehe…senyum sampai ke telinga..

Yelah, hari-hari kerja je.Jumpa orang tuh, jumpa orang ni la. Cis, dah lama dah aku kekeringan hiburan kat umah ni. Nasib baik aku tengah study. kalo tak lagi boring.

Nak di jadikan cerita, aku memilih untuk menonton wayang-which is takdelah extra fun yet I still can enjoy every moment! Nak relaks-relaks, tak moh gi tempat yang haru-biru.

Aku dah booked ticket cerita The Covenant sbb aku nak sangat tengok benda-benda superficial macam X-Men. Tu pun sebab aku terpengaruh trailer cerita tuh kat tv. Si dia pun pilih satu cerita, which is – Nana Tanjung. Yes..Nana Tanjung…Macam tak percaya je aku. Biar betul, ada ke Nana Tanjung? This is so not me, ok!

Tapi takpe, sayang punya pasal aku pun ikut je la. Minah ticket counter plak carik pasal. Aku ye ye je booked The Covenant kul 12.30pm which is the only slot available, last-last masa kul 12.15pm baru aku perasan tiket tuh kul 11.40am!!

Menggigil tangan aku sakit hati,sebab aku dah siap gi jenjalan sementara nak menyampaikan pukul 12.30pm. Aku pun dah kira cuai sbb tak check ticket, but hey!!! Aku booked online pukul 12.30pm la…Dengan rasa tak puas hati (walaupun aku tau aku careless) beria-ia aku fight yg mmg aku booked 12.30pm dan aku nak tiket lain sebagai ganti.

Me : Miss, I don’t need any refund, but I already paid for this movie, and I still want to watch a movie! I believe this is not my misunderstanding because I believed as what I booked not as what you want to!

Ticket Girl: Yes, I understand. But the tickets is not refundable. The show is only at 11.40am and it can’t be at 12.30pm. Maybe you booked for another cinema.

Me : What?! I booked two show from the same cinema and it could not be wrong. This is ridiculious! No, this is not my fault and I still want my tickets. Give me another ticket for any movie started at this time.

Selepas pelbagai lagi dialog aku mempertahankan hak aku, akhirnya dapatlah aku tiket ganti cerita Casino Royale. Tak pepasal je tengok cerita ni. Yang sebenarnya, yang aku beria mintak tiket ganti tuh sbb aku risau aku dah spoil mood dating hari tuh. Nanti si dia kata aku careless. So, nak tunjuk aku wanita gagah dan tak bersalah,maka aku buat-buat la berani mintak tiket ganti. Tak jadi lah si dia nak membebel pada aku petang tuh..kihkihkih…

Kepada gadis kaunter tiket tuh, mintak ampun je la…Aku bukan marah sebenarnya..saje je try-try kot dapat. Dah nasib dapat..bos kamu pun approve, kan? Lagi pun kat booked ticket tuh tak kata yang korang boleh tukar slot sesuka hati? Takpe, sebagai bukti aku tak bersalah kat sini aku letak bukti email yg memang aku booked kul 12.30pm. Amik nah!

Thundercats, whooooooo!!!! November 10, 2006

Yesterday I talked about Moero Attack. Today I would like to talk about my first favourite cartoon series which is Thundercats. As far as I can remember, I watched this series when I was 4 or 5 years old. Frankly, at that time I was not really understand English, but most of the times I think I did undertand what the is the story was about, and until today I still can’t figure out how I did it.

As usual, Lion-O the main character who is The Lord of Thundercats and inherit the Sword of Omens was my favourite hero. I loved when he used the sword to see his friends in trouble and to fight the mutants and Mumm-ra. I hated and scared of Mumm-ra because I thought he was a really bad and ugly beast with an evil laugh.

Other Thunderians were Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, the twins WillyKit and WillyKat, Jaga, Claudis and Snarf the ‘nursemaid’. I loved to see their actions too because each of them had their own special power. Panthro who is an engineering genius, Tygra who can be invincible, Cheetara as quick as lightning, the learning twins, Jaga the wise, Claudis the Lion-O’s father and Snarf the witty.

Me and my friends sometimes berangan and each of us acting like we were the Thunderians. We hold a stick in front of our face and assumed it as a sword and said “Thunder! Thunder !! Thunder!!!Thundercats!!! Hooooooo!!!!” followed by the theme suspense sound effect or “My Sword of Omens, show me the Sight Beyond Sight!”.

Current Obsession November 10, 2006

What is your current obsession? Well, my current obsession is reading educational books! Okay, okay, I lied. Actually that’s not my current obsession. That’s my current ‘must-to’! I must read all my course modules as I must sit an examination on 25th,29th and 30th of this month. Sigh. Again..

And again, everytime I try to sit still with intention to study religiously, I will always be distracted by various things. Internet and tv in particular. Huh, I’m so addicted. But, no! I must not be distracted again. No, not this time.

Moero Attack! November 8, 2006

I read a blog wrote by a friend of mine. It is about one of famous ‘alih-suara bahasa jepun’ tv series in 90’s called Moero Attack. Whoever born in 80’s surely knew about this series. It was aired on 4pm weekdays and almost everybody in school talked about it. As popular as Doraemon, whoever missed one episode will feel miserable and dissappointed. Kira dah tak up-to-date la..

I still remember those days, when after school I must go to ‘mengaji’ and suddenly I became very rajin to go mengaji as early as possible because I want to finish early. Which means, if can balik mengaji awal, than you can go to shops nearby, bought some Super Ring or Mamee and pop-ice and ate them on the way home just before 4pm. 4pm sharp, I already sat in front of tv and still wearing the baju kurung and sang the Moero Attack theme song…

Sometimes I got bola baling or bola jaring practices at 4.30pm, and if there was Moero Attack every team members seems to be late for the practices..It was so funny when I read some of the comments from my friends blog when they told that sometimes they ponteng kelas agama just to watch Moero Attack. It seems that everybody same as my age facing the same syndrome…

Sehari sebelum raya, mak aku ada mengajak aku mencari anak kucing. Katanya anak kucing tuh anak salah seekor kucing yang biasa melepak dibelakang umah aku menunggu makan yang kitorang panggil Dubok kerana bulunya yang berwarna comot seperti dubuk.

Puas kitorang mencari dibelakang salah sebuah rumah jiran kami yang tengah renovate dapur. Oleh kerana barang-barang kat situ bersepah, maka susahlah kami mencari. Tambahan pula kami tak berani nak menggagau sebarangan kerana takut tergagau benda yang bersisik dan licin pulak..eeii…Oleh kerana hari dah nak gelap, maka kami tangguhkan sementara usaha pencarian tersebut.

Pada petang hari raya pertama, kami kembali menyambung operasi mencari anak si Dubok. Dalam kepala aku dah terbayangkan anak-anak si Dubok yang comot. Susah juga kami mencari kerana si Dubok memang sangat pandai menyorok anak, maklumlah kucing liar beranak merata.

Setelah berhempas pulas, sampai adik –adik jantan aku pun sama mencari akhirnya dapatlah kedua-dua ekor anak si Dubok, sekor hitam belang kelabu dan sekor kelabu belang coklat. Masa dua ekor ni nyorok celah tempat gelap memang menyeramkan tengok corak bulu diorang sebab macam belakang badan ulor je.

Gemuknya anak si Dubok..tak sangka sangat kiut. Mungkin sebab anaknya mixed kot..huhu..geram aku. Mulamula kitorang nak namakan depa ni Tom & Wan kerana sekor ni perutnya corak macam perut ikan toman dan sekor lagi perutnya corak macam ikan haruan. Pastu bagi nama Tom & Tommy plak. Tapi setelah dikenalpasti si Tommy ni betina maka kami panggil dia Tanter sempena panggilan ‘makcik’ dalam cerita faveret mak aku ‘Bawang Putih Bawang Merah’..hehe..So Tom dan Tanter dah jadi ahli keluarga baru kami yeay.!!!

Momae dalam Kenangan

Kehadiran Tom dan Tanter bergalang ganti. Sehari sebelum aku tiba di Kuantan Momae hilang entah kemana. Biasanya dia tahu jalan pulang, atau sekurang-kurangnya dijumpai oleh jiran-jiran. Kami sekeluarga hamper pasti, Momae telah diculik oleh bebudak yang gilakan kucing tapi belum mampu bertanggungjawab untuk menjaganya. Kesian Momae…
